Cyclone Dust Collector

1. Overview

The Cyclone Dust Collector, also known as Cyclone Separator, is a classic filter-free dry-type dust removal equipment. Different from baghouse and cartridge dust collectors that rely on filter media, it adopts pure mechanical centrifugal separation principle with no bags, cartridges or vulnerable filter parts. It is mainly used as primary pre-dedusting equipment to remove large and heavy dust particles before fine filtration devices, reducing dust load for downstream bag filters and cartridge collectors. With all-metal welded structure, it can withstand ultra-high temperature flue gas and abrasive materials, being the most cost-effective coarse dust processing equipment in bulk material and high-temperature flue gas systems.

2. Working Principle

Dust-laden gas enters the cyclone cylinder tangentially and forms a high-speed spiral downward outer vortex. Under strong centrifugal force, heavy dust particles are thrown to the inner wall of the cylinder, slide down along the wall by gravity, and finally fall into the bottom ash hopper for discharge. The clean gas with fine dust converges into an upward inner vortex and discharges from the top exhaust pipe. After primary separation, the airflow enters secondary fine dust removal equipment for deep filtration, realizing two-stage graded dust removal and improving the overall system operating life.
