
1. Overview
The Dust Filter Bag, also known as filter sleeve or dust collector bag, is the key filtering component of baghouse dust collectors. It acts as the barrier medium to intercept fine particulate dust in dust-laden airflow. Different from pleated filter cartridges, the tubular filter bag adopts needle-punched felt material with deep filtration structure. With various surface finishing treatments such as singeing, calendaring, PTFE coating and water-oil repellent, it solves common problems including bag abrasion, moisture sticking, high-temperature corrosion and static explosion risk. As the most critical consumable for dust removal systems, it directly determines emission effect, running resistance and overall service life of the bag filter.
2. Working Principle
Dust-laden flue gas passes through the outer surface of the filter bag; coarse dust is blocked on the outer felt layer, while fine particles are trapped inside the fiber gap to form a stable dust cake. The dust cake further improves fine dust filtration accuracy. Clean air penetrates the bag wall and discharges upward. During pulse jet cleaning, high-pressure air shock vibrates the bag body to peel off the dust cake, which falls into the ash hopper for discharge by airlock valves. The treated filter bag recovers low resistance and continues cyclic filtration operation.
